About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous Automotive Quality Assurance Engineer to join their dedicated team in Belfast . In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability in automotive components and systems throughout their lifecycle. You will implement and oversee quality control processes, conduct rigorous testing, and work closely with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve potential issues. Your contribution will be vital in upholding our client's reputation for excellence in the automotive industry, requiring a strong presence at our facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance plans and procedures for automotive products.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes and finished goods.
- Analyze quality data and identify trends or potential defects, recommending corrective actions.
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and drive their resolution through cross-functional collaboration.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure incoming component quality meets specified standards.
- Maintain quality documentation and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949).
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role within the automotive sector.
- Thorough understanding of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in quality inspection tools and measurement techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
