Automotive Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous Automotive Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team based in Leeds . This role is essential for ensuring that all automotive products meet stringent quality standards and customer expectations throughout their lifecycle. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control processes, conducting rigorous testing, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the production and development cycles. Working within a hybrid model, you will collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, and engineering teams to uphold the highest levels of product integrity and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance plans and test procedures for automotive components and systems.
• Conduct various tests, including functional, performance, and reliability testing, to identify defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Analyze test results, document findings, and provide detailed reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for process improvement.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality management systems and processes across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control within the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and other quality analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
