Automotive Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Automotive Quality Assurance Engineer to join their manufacturing facility in Edinburgh . You will play a critical role in ensuring that all automotive products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This hands-on role involves implementing and monitoring quality control processes, conducting inspections, and working collaboratively with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues. The ideal candidate is passionate about maintaining product integrity and driving continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures and standards for automotive components.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes and finished products.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
• Work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to address quality concerns.
• Manage product non-conformance processes and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a Quality Assurance role within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
• Proficiency in quality control tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, FMEA, 8D).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
