About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Automotive Quality Control Inspector to join their team in Birmingham . This role is critical to ensuring that all manufactured automotive parts and finished vehicles meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for conducting rigorous inspections, identifying defects, and collaborating with production teams to implement corrective actions. The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and quality control protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and mechanical inspections of automotive components and assemblies at various stages of production.
- Utilize measuring instruments and testing equipment to verify conformance to specifications.
- Document inspection results accurately, reporting any non-conformities or defects.
- Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and relevant industry regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety procedures in Birmingham .
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in quality control or automotive technology is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Quality Control Inspector, preferably within the automotive sector.
- Familiarity with quality control tools and techniques, including ISO 9001 standards.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
