Automotive Quality Inspector

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous Automotive Quality Inspector to ensure the highest standards are met within their vehicle manufacturing and servicing operations in Glasgow . You will be responsible for inspecting vehicles at various stages of production or repair, identifying defects, and ensuring compliance with quality control protocols and industry standards. This role is critical in maintaining the company's reputation for producing and servicing reliable vehicles. You will work closely with production and maintenance teams to address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement in every aspect of the automotive process.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough visual and functional inspections of vehicles against predefined quality checklists.
• Identify, document, and report any non-conformities, defects, or deviations from specifications.
• Perform tests on vehicle systems, components, and overall build quality.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and service departments to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions taken.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an automotive quality control or inspection role.
• Good understanding of vehicle construction, components, and assembly processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and a systematic approach to inspection.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is advantageous.
