About the Role

Our client is looking for an organised and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to manage the service reception and customer relations at their busy dealership in Cardiff . This role is the primary point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for maintenance and repair, ensuring a seamless and positive experience from booking to collection. You will play a vital part in liaising between the customer and the workshop, accurately translating needs and explaining technical information clearly and professionally. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service within the automotive industry, contributing to the dealership's reputation for exceptional client care and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and professionally, booking vehicles for service and repair.
• Accurately assess customer needs and translate them into detailed job orders for technicians.
• Communicate service recommendations, costs, and timelines clearly and effectively to customers.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding the progress of their vehicle's service.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback with empathy and efficiency.
• Process invoices, take payments, and arrange vehicle collection or delivery.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within the automotive service environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to explain technical automotive terms in a way that is easily understandable to customers.
• Proficiency in using dealership management software and standard office applications.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer satisfaction.
• A valid UK driving licence is advantageous.
