Automotive Service Advisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a personable and highly organized Automotive Service Advisor to manage customer interactions and vehicle service scheduling at their busy dealership in Belfast . You will be the primary point of contact for customers, building rapport, understanding their needs, and ensuring a seamless service experience from booking to collection. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a strong understanding of automotive services. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in driving customer satisfaction and workshop efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and professionally, establishing a clear understanding of their vehicle service or repair needs.
• Accurately translate customer concerns into detailed service orders for the workshop technicians.
• Provide customers with clear and concise explanations of required services, associated costs, and estimated completion times.
• Manage workshop schedules effectively to ensure efficient utilization of technician time and prompt service delivery.
• Maintain excellent customer relationships by following up on completed work and addressing any concerns proactively.
• Process payments, handle invoicing, and maintain accurate customer records within the dealership management system.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in a customer-facing role within the motor trade.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with automotive terminology and basic vehicle maintenance concepts.
• Proficiency in using dealership management software (e.g., Kerridge, Pinnacle) is a plus.
• A positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences.
