Automotive Service Advisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join their busy dealership in Birmingham . You will be the primary point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for service or repair, ensuring a seamless and positive experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of automotive services and diagnostics. You will work closely with the workshop team to accurately diagnose issues, provide transparent quotes, and manage customer expectations throughout the repair process, contributing to high levels of customer satisfaction and workshop efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and professionally, actively listening to their vehicle concerns and requirements.
• Accurately record customer issues and vehicle details in the service management system.
• Translate technical information into clear, understandable explanations for customers regarding necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Provide accurate service estimates and explain warranty policies and service procedures.
• Schedule service appointments and manage the workflow of the workshop to ensure timely completion of work.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, following up to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in a similar customer-facing role within the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in using dealership management software and standard office applications.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer issue resolution.
