Our client is looking for a talented Automotive Software Developer to join their team in Liverpool . This hybrid role involves contributing to the development of innovative software solutions for modern vehicles, including embedded systems and user interfaces. You will work within an agile development environment, collaborating with experienced engineers to bring new automotive features to life. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and debug embedded software for automotive control units and infotainment systems.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in languages such as C, C++, or Java.
- Implement software features according to specifications and contribute to the overall software architecture.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborative design sessions with the development team.
- Work with simulation tools and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems for software testing and validation.
- Contribute to the documentation of software designs, requirements, and test procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software development, with exposure to embedded systems.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
- Understanding of software development life cycles and agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN) is a plus.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team setting.
