About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Automotive Software Engineer to join their dynamic team in Coventry . You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing software solutions for next-generation automotive systems, including infotainment, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and vehicle control units. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate embedded software for automotive ECUs using C/C++.
- Design and implement software modules for features such as infotainment, navigation, and vehicle diagnostics.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers and system architects to define software requirements and architecture.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and debugging of software components.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software into the vehicle platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in embedded software development , preferably within the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet).
- Experience with software development tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and debugging tools.
- Understanding of automotive software development lifecycle and standards (e.g., AUTOSAR).
