About the Role
Our client is seeking a proficient Automotive Systems Integration Engineer to join their expanding team in Plymouth . This role is integral to ensuring that various automotive subsystems function seamlessly together as a complete vehicle system. You will be involved in the planning, execution, and validation of system integration activities, troubleshooting complex interactions between electrical, mechanical, and software components. This hybrid position allows for collaborative work on-site and focused technical analysis remotely, contributing to the development of reliable and high-performing vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the integration of automotive subsystems, including powertrain, chassis, and electrical systems.
- Develop and execute system integration test plans, identifying and documenting interface issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration problems between different engineering domains.
- Collaborate with component engineers to ensure design compatibility and performance.
- Utilize system modeling and simulation tools to predict and analyze integration behavior.
- Document system architecture, interfaces, and integration status for project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in automotive systems engineering and integration.
- Strong understanding of vehicle architectures and the interactions between major subsystems.
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Experience with system requirements management and validation processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
