Automotive Test Engineer

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a detail-oriented Automotive Test Engineer to join their expanding operations in Sunderland . This critical role involves the design, execution, and analysis of tests for a wide range of automotive components and systems. You will be instrumental in ensuring that products meet stringent quality, performance, and safety standards before they reach the market. Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans and procedures for automotive components and systems.
• Set up and operate various testing equipment, including environmental chambers, vibration tables, and data acquisition systems.
• Execute tests according to defined protocols, meticulously collecting and recording data.
• Analyze test results, identify potential failures or performance deviations, and generate detailed test reports.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and verify corrective actions.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive) or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience as a Test Engineer , preferably within the automotive sector.
• Proficiency in operating various types of testing and measurement equipment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
• Familiarity with automotive standards and testing methodologies.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills for reporting findings.
