Aviation Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Aviation Project Manager to oversee key projects within their organization, based in Nottingham . This role is responsible for the planning, execution, and successful completion of aviation-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will manage project teams, coordinate resources, and liaise with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project management methodologies and a proven track record in managing complex projects within the aviation sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of aviation projects, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial objectives are met.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and issues effectively to all stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations, safety standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager , with a minimum of 5 years managing projects in the aviation or aerospace industry.
• Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with aviation regulations, aircraft operations, or MRO processes is highly desirable.
• Relevant professional certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 is an advantage.
