About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Aviation Safety Officer to champion safety initiatives within their operations in Belfast . This critical role focuses on developing, implementing, and managing the company's safety management system (SMS) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a robust safety culture. You will be responsible for risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety training, playing a key part in maintaining the highest standards of safety across all aviation activities. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's Safety Management System (SMS) .
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across all operational areas.
- Lead and participate in incident and accident investigations, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Promote a positive safety culture through awareness campaigns, training programs, and effective communication.
- Monitor aviation safety regulations and ensure company compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Prepare safety reports and present findings to senior management and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- Experience in aviation safety management, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
- Knowledge of relevant aviation safety regulations and standards (e.g., EASA, ICAO).
- Relevant safety qualification or certification (e.g., Diploma in Aviation Safety Management).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
