About the Role

Our client is recruiting an experienced Aviation Safety Officer to enhance safety protocols and compliance within their operations based in Coventry . This vital role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring safety management systems to minimize risks and ensure adherence to aviation safety regulations. You will play a key part in fostering a proactive safety culture across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of aviation safety principles and a commitment to driving continuous improvement in safety performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Aviation Safety Management System (SMS) .
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Promote safety awareness and training across all departments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Analyze safety data and trends to identify areas for improvement and report findings to senior management.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and external bodies on safety-related matters.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in aviation safety management, preferably in an airline or MRO environment.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation safety regulations and best practices (e.g., ICAO Annex 19, EASA Part 145/Part M).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex safety data.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant degree or professional certification in aviation safety.
