About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Aviation Security Specialist to enhance security measures at their facilities in Bristol . This role is crucial for protecting personnel, assets, and operations from security threats. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing security protocols, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with all aviation security regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security best practices within the aviation context.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce aviation security policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular security risk assessments of facilities, operations, and potential vulnerabilities.
• Oversee and manage security personnel, including screening, access control, and surveillance operations.
• Investigate security incidents, breaches, and suspicious activities, reporting findings and recommending preventative measures.
• Ensure compliance with all national and international aviation security regulations and standards.
• Deliver security awareness training to staff and stakeholders.
• Liaise with law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies on security matters.

Requirements

• Previous experience in aviation security , law enforcement, or a related security field.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation security legislation, threats, and countermeasures.
• Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and develop effective security plans.
• Excellent observational skills, integrity, and judgment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and train personnel.
• Relevant security certifications or qualifications are highly desirable.
