About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Aviation Systems Engineer to join their innovative team, working entirely remotely to support their aviation projects based in Edinburgh, Scotland . This role focuses on the design, integration, testing, and certification of complex aircraft systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure that systems meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate various aircraft systems, including avionics, electrical, and flight control systems.
- Conduct system analysis, performance modeling, and simulations to validate system designs.
- Develop and execute test plans for system verification and validation, both in simulation and on aircraft.
- Ensure system designs comply with relevant aviation standards, regulations (e.g., EASA CS-25, FAA FAR Part 25), and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with software and hardware engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and certification documentation for regulatory approval .
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation systems engineering , with a strong understanding of aircraft system architecture.
- Proficiency in system design tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, DOORS) and familiarity with modeling and simulation techniques.
- Experience with system integration, testing, and validation processes in an aerospace environment.
- Knowledge of aviation certification processes and relevant regulatory standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, remote engineering team.
