About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Avionics Engineer to join their esteemed aviation team in Edinburgh . This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, modification, and testing of complex aircraft avionics systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of navigation, communication, and flight control systems that are vital for modern aviation. Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and certify avionics equipment and systems on various aircraft types.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex avionics faults, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and test specifications.
• Perform modifications and upgrades to avionics systems according to engineering orders and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct system integration and performance testing to ensure optimal functionality.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repair, and installation activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Avionics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in aircraft avionics maintenance or installation.
• Proficiency with a range of avionics systems, including navigation, communication, flight management systems (FMS), and autopilot.
• Knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements (e.g., EASA, CAA) related to avionics.
• Experience with test equipment and diagnostic software for avionics systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
