About the Role
Our client seeks an experienced Avionics Systems Engineer to join their team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This pivotal role involves the integration, testing, and certification of complex avionic systems for next-generation aircraft. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation and reliability of critical flight systems, from navigation and communication to flight control and displays. Key Responsibilities
- Define, design, and integrate avionics systems and their associated components.
- Develop system architecture, requirements, and interface control documents (ICDs).
- Conduct system testing, validation, and verification activities, both in simulation and on-aircraft.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to avionics hardware and software.
- Ensure compliance with stringent aviation safety standards and regulatory requirements throughout the design lifecycle.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in avionics systems engineering , including integration and testing.
- Familiarity with avionics standards such as ARINC, MIL-STD, and DO-178C/DO-254.
- Proficiency with simulation tools and test equipment commonly used in avionics development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with effective communication abilities for technical discussions.
