About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Avionics Systems Specialist to join their team in Birmingham . This role is integral to maintaining the sophisticated electronic and communication systems on modern aircraft. You will be responsible for the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics equipment, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. Working closely with flight operations and maintenance teams, you will play a key part in ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet's advanced technological systems. Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, calibrate, and repair a wide range of avionics systems , including navigation, communication, and flight control systems.
• Diagnose complex electronic faults and troubleshoot issues using specialized diagnostic equipment and software.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all avionics hardware and software.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on system upgrades, modifications, and the integration of new avionics technologies.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repair, and testing activities for avionics equipment .
• Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations, standards, and company procedures related to avionics maintenance.

Requirements

• Significant experience as an Avionics Technician or Specialist in the aviation industry.
• Proficiency with various avionics diagnostic tools and test equipment.
• Solid understanding of aircraft electrical systems, communication protocols, and navigation principles.
• Ability to read and interpret complex schematics , wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Experience with aircraft certification and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
