About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable Avionics Systems Specialist to join their technical team based in Portsmouth . This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex avionics systems on various aircraft. You will ensure that all navigation, communication, and flight control systems are functioning optimally, meeting the highest safety and performance standards. The ideal candidate has a strong hands-on background in avionics and a deep understanding of modern aircraft electronics, contributing to the seamless operation of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and calibrate avionic equipment, including navigation, communication, and flight management systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot avionic system malfunctions, implementing effective repairs.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections on avionic systems according to technical manuals and regulations.
• Interpret avionic system schematics and technical documentation for repair and installation.
• Ensure compliance with all aviation safety regulations and company procedures for avionics work.
• Document all work performed, including component replacements and system adjustments, in maintenance logs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Avionics Technician or Systems Specialist .
• Strong understanding of aircraft navigation, communication, radar, and flight control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret complex avionic schematics and technical manuals.
• Hands-on experience with diagnostic test equipment and avionic troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with aviation regulations and certification requirements.
• Commitment to safety and precision in a demanding aviation environment in Portsmouth .
