About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to join their dedicated maintenance and repair team in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of all aircraft electronic systems and components. This hands-on role is critical to ensuring the airworthiness and optimal functionality of our fleet, working in a fast-paced hangar environment. The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of avionic principles, and a commitment to upholding the highest safety standards in the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and repair a wide range of aircraft avionics equipment, including navigation, communication, and autopilot systems.
• Perform routine inspections and scheduled maintenance on avionics systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and electronic malfunctions using specialized test equipment.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities performed.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations and company safety policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Avionics Technician or in a similar aircraft maintenance role.
• Hold relevant aviation certifications (e.g., EASA Part-66).
• Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and electronic test equipment.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
