Job Description
Our client, a leading organisation in the aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) sector, is seeking a B1 Licensed Engineer to support aircraft maintenance operations at main base and detached locations worldwide. This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced aircraft maintenance professional with strong technical, supervisory and regulatory knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and certify aircraft maintenance and aircraft equipment work in accordance with approved maintenance data and organisational procedures Maintain high standards of safety, quality and regulatory compliance, applying safe systems of work to all assigned tasks Supervise technical staff, ensuring duties are completed safely, correctly and in line with relevant maintenance manuals and exposition requirements Support aircraft operations at main base and detached locations, including the safe supervision and performance of aircraft ground movements Ensure the accurate and timely completion of aircraft maintenance documentation and certification records Coordinate engineering activities, prioritise tasks and support the team in delivering work to agreed targets and timescales Review team performance, provide feedback and assist the Crew Chief with daily operations, team development and continuous improvement Promote a positive safety culture, maintain clean and orderly work areas, and uphold excellent customer and stakeholder relationships
Job Requirements:
Unrestricted CAA Part 66 B1 and/or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence with relevant type ratings and company authorisations where applicable Significant experience within an aircraft maintenance environment, including line, base or workshop settings Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to aircraft maintenance and certification Proven ability to supervise, motivate and influence technical teams effectively Good change management and basic project management skills, with an understanding of continuous improvement principles Excellent communication, team-building and stakeholder management skills Ability to work to deadlines, support operational requirements and work flexible shift patterns, including detached assignments Medical fitness for daily engineering duties and the ability to meet current UK security clearance and ITAR requirements
