Baby Room Leader

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and nurturing Baby Room Leader to manage their dedicated baby unit in Liverpool . This position is responsible for providing exceptional care and creating a stimulating environment for infants aged 0-18 months. You will lead a small team, develop tailored care plans, and ensure the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and early developmental support. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of infant needs and development, combined with strong leadership skills to inspire their team and build trusting relationships with parents during this crucial early stage.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the baby room, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• Develop and implement engaging sensory and developmental activities for infants.
• Oversee the care routines, including feeding, sleeping, and nappy changing, with sensitivity and consistency.
• Maintain accurate records of children's progress, observations, and individual care plans.
• Provide leadership and support to the baby room team, fostering a positive and collaborative atmosphere.
• Communicate effectively with parents, sharing updates and discussing their child's development and needs.

Requirements

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
• Proven experience working with babies and toddlers in an early years setting.
• Strong knowledge of child development, particularly for infants aged 0-18 months.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
• Ability to create a stimulating and responsive environment for babies.
