About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Backend Software Engineer with expertise in Python and Django to join their collaborative team in Portsmouth . You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic and APIs for our innovative applications. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable server-side applications using Python and Django .
- Design and implement efficient database schemas and queries (SQL/NoSQL).
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration with frontend applications and third-party services.
- Optimize application performance and ensure high availability and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and implement new features.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Backend Software Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with the Django framework.
- Solid understanding of database design and management (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
