About the Service - Victoria Lodge
Victoria Lodge is a 6 bedded service (including 1 flat) based in Bognor Regis, in a popular residential area close to essential amenities. Victoria Lodge allows residents to enjoy a greater level of independence in a community setting. They will be supported to maximise the skills and abilities by accessing local education and vocational facilities. The service will promote and enable ongoing rehabilitation and independent living skills, with the support of dedicated 24 hour support staff and the specialist multi-disciplinary team.
Service User Interests
- Arts and crafts
- Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.
- Holidays and short breaks
- Walks in the local park and community
- Cooking and baking to develop life skills
The Role
You will:
- Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
- Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
- Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
- Support activities, appointments, and community access
- Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
- Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins
We're seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.
No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we'll provide full training and a structured induction programme.
Requirements
- Willingness to work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care
- Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
- Drivers desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
