About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Banqueting Manager to oversee their event operations in Derby . This hybrid role requires a leader who can manage both on-site event execution and remote coordination of planning and administrative tasks. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of all banquets and catered events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale functions, delivering exceptional food, beverage, and service quality. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, organization, and execution of all banquets and catered events.
• Manage and supervise the banqueting team, ensuring high standards of service and presentation.
• Collaborate with clients, chefs, and sales teams to finalize event details, menus, and special requirements.
• Ensure efficient setup and breakdown of event spaces, adhering to timelines and client specifications.
• Manage inventory of banqueting supplies, linens, and equipment.
• Control costs associated with banqueting operations, including labor and supplies.
• Handle client inquiries and resolve any on-site issues promptly and professionally.

Requirements

• Proven experience in banqueting, event management, or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong understanding of event logistics, food and beverage service, and staff management.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
