Bar Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager to oversee the operations of their sophisticated bar in the heart of Oxford . This role involves managing the bar team, controlling inventory, developing the beverage program, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service, quality, and presentation, while driving profitability and fostering a vibrant atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for mixology, strong leadership skills, and a keen understanding of bar operations in a prestigious Oxfordshire setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily bar operations, including staff scheduling, training, and performance.
• Develop and maintain an innovative and appealing beverage menu, including cocktails, wines, and spirits.
• Oversee inventory management, ordering, and cost control for all bar supplies.
• Ensure strict adherence to responsible service of alcohol and health and safety regulations.
• Foster a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests, addressing any issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the F&B team to create promotional events and special offers.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bar Manager or Assistant Bar Manager in a reputable establishment.
• Strong knowledge of mixology, wine, spirits, and beverage trends.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Experience in inventory management, stock control, and P&L responsibility.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Passion for creating outstanding guest experiences in a lively bar environment in Oxford .
