Bar Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Bar Manager to take charge of their lively bar operations in Reading . This role involves overseeing all aspects of the bar, from managing staff and inventory to creating an inviting atmosphere and ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record in bar management. You will be responsible for the profitability and reputation of the bar.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bar operations, including staff scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive beverage menu, including seasonal specials and signature cocktails.
• Oversee inventory control, stock management, and ordering of all bar supplies.
• Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health, and safety regulations.
• Manage bar costs, control waste, and optimize profitability.
• Create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for customers, ensuring high levels of service.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bar Manager or Assistant Bar Manager.
• Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, cocktails, and beverage trends.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Experience with inventory management and cost control.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
