A leading industrial services contractor is seeking Basic Scaffolders (NVQ Level 2) to join its growing team on a temporary to permanent basis, supporting work on major industrial and engineering projects in Plymouth.

The Role

As a Basic Scaffolder, you will be responsible for the erection, alteration and dismantling of scaffolding structures while working as part of an experienced scaffolding team. You will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with current industry legislation and best practice.

Applicants must hold a valid CISRS Basic Scaffolder Card (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent).

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge and practical experience of:

• Statutory regulations and safety requirements (including SG4) relating to the erection and dismantling of simple scaffolds.
• The types, uses and purposes of scaffold tubes, boards and fittings in common use.
• The correct handling, stacking and inspection of scaffold tubes, boards and fittings.
• Founding scaffolds on ground, concrete and steel surfaces.
• The safe installation of standards, ledgers, transoms and bracing.
• Basic tying patterns for sheeted and un-sheeted scaffolds. xwwtmva
• Work at Height Regulations relating to working platforms.
