Behaviour Support Assistant

We’re on the lookout for a proactive and caring Behaviour Support Assistant to provide tailored support to students wth complex behaviour needs. If you are passionate about making a real difference and have experience in behaviour management, we want to hear from you!
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities.
- Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence, and engagement.
- Supporting children withcomplex behavioural needs.
- Suporting pupils with additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Langauge and other SEND.
- Promoting positive behaviour and creating an inclusive learning environment.
- Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
We are looking for candidates who:
- Experience in a behaviour support role, ideally within an education or care setting (experience in SEND is desirable but not essential).
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and an understanding of how to support students with complex behavioural needs.
- Have patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students who may have challenging behaviours.
- Are passionate about supporting children's learning and wellbeing..
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Are patient, reliable, and adaptable.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
