Location: Sittingbourne, Kent
Salary: £21,500 - £23,500 DOE
Type: Permanent Role
Hours: Monday - Thursday 06:00am - 14:15pm
The Role
We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Bench Operative to join a busy manufacturing client. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, finishing, and checking components to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out bench assembly and production tasks.
* Assemble components using hand tools and small power tools.
* Read and follow basic engineering drawings and work instructions.
* Carry out drilling, filing, deburring, cutting and finishing as required.
* Inspect components to ensure they meet quality standards.
* Identify and report any defects or issues.
* Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working area.
* Meet production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
* Follow company health & safety procedures at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience in a bench operative, assembly, manufacturing or production role is advantageous.
* Previous experience within a sheet metal or manufacturing environment.
* Good attention to detail and quality-focused approach.
* Able to use hand power tools safely.
* Ability to follow technical drawings and instructions.
