About the Role
Our client, a well-respected architectural firm in Sunderland , is seeking a proficient BIM Coordinator to enhance their digital delivery capabilities. This role is central to managing and implementing Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes across a variety of projects, ensuring seamless collaboration and data integrity. You will be responsible for developing and enforcing BIM standards, training staff, and coordinating model development among internal teams and external consultants. This is a key position for an individual passionate about digital construction and eager to contribute to the efficiency and success of architectural projects in the Tyne and Wear region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage BIM execution plans and protocols.
- Coordinate the creation and delivery of BIM models from project inception through to handover.
- Ensure adherence to project BIM requirements and industry standards (e.g., ISO 19650).
- Conduct clash detection analysis and resolve model conflicts between disciplines.
- Provide training and support to project teams on BIM software and workflows.
- Manage and maintain the project information model and associated data.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator or in a similar BIM role.
- In-depth knowledge of BIM software, including Revit , Navisworks, and Solibri.
- Understanding of information management processes and standards, particularly ISO 19650.
- Experience in developing and implementing BIM strategies and workflows.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and guide others.
- Familiarity with architectural design and construction processes.
