Biostatistician - Clinical Trials

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and analytical Biostatistician to contribute to their clinical trial operations based in Sheffield . This role is crucial for the design, analysis, and reporting of clinical studies, ensuring the integrity and validity of data used to support drug development and regulatory submissions. You will work closely with clinical scientists, data managers, and medical writers to provide statistical expertise throughout the trial lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

• Design clinical trial protocols, including sample size calculations, randomization schemes, and statistical analysis plans (SAPs).
• Perform statistical analyses of clinical trial data using SAS or R, and interpret results in the context of study objectives.
• Generate tables, listings, and figures for clinical study reports, publications, and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with Data Management to ensure data quality and integrity for statistical analysis.
• Provide statistical input for study design, data review, and interpretation of results for various pharmaceutical projects.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Biostatistician in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry, focusing on clinical trials.
• Proficiency in statistical software packages such as SAS or R is essential.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial design principles, statistical methodologies, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and present complex statistical concepts clearly in Sheffield .
