Biostatistician - Clinical Trials

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Biostatistician to join their growing clinical development team in Sheffield . This role is fundamental to the design, analysis, and reporting of clinical trials, ensuring that robust statistical methods are applied to generate reliable evidence supporting product development and regulatory submissions. You will collaborate closely with clinical teams, data managers, and regulatory affairs professionals to design study protocols, develop statistical analysis plans, and interpret trial results. Key Responsibilities

• Provide statistical expertise in the design of clinical trials, including sample size calculations and randomization schemes.
• Develop detailed Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) for clinical studies, outlining primary and secondary endpoints and analysis methodologies.
• Perform statistical analyses of clinical trial data using SAS or R, ensuring accuracy and adherence to the SAP.
• Contribute to the interpretation of study results and the preparation of clinical study reports (CSRs).
• Review and validate tables, figures, and listings generated for clinical study reports and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with data management to define data collection requirements and ensure data integrity.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Biostatistician, with a focus on clinical trials in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software, primarily SAS and/or R.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial design, statistical methodologies, and regulatory requirements for drug development.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
