About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Biostatistician to join their data-driven pharmaceutical research team in Glasgow . This role is critical for designing studies, analyzing clinical trial data, and interpreting results to support drug development and regulatory submissions. You will work in a hybrid capacity, collaborating closely with clinical operations, data management, and medical affairs teams. Your expertise in statistical analysis will be vital in ensuring the scientific rigor and integrity of our client's research, contributing to the development of innovative therapies for patients in Scotland and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Design clinical trial protocols, specifying statistical methodologies and sample size calculations.
- Develop statistical analysis plans (SAPs) for clinical studies.
- Perform complex statistical analyses on clinical trial data using SAS or R.
- Interpret statistical results and prepare comprehensive statistical reports.
- Collaborate with data management to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Contribute statistical expertise to regulatory submissions and scientific publications.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in biostatistics within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Proficiency in statistical software such as SAS or R.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial design and statistical methodologies.
- Experience with data analysis for regulatory submissions (e.g., to EMA, FDA).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
