Biostatistician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and analytical Biostatistician to join their dynamic team, supporting operations primarily in the South East of England . This is a fully remote role where you will be instrumental in the design, analysis, and reporting of clinical trials and research studies. Your expertise in statistical methodologies will be crucial for interpreting complex data, ensuring the validity of results, and contributing to the development of groundbreaking pharmaceutical products. You will collaborate closely with clinicians, data managers, and researchers to translate study objectives into robust statistical plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Design statistical analysis plans (SAPs) for clinical trials, including defining endpoints, sample size calculations, and analysis methodologies.
• Perform statistical analyses of clinical trial data using statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, R).
• Interpret analysis results and prepare statistical reports, tables, figures, and listings for regulatory submissions and publications.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure the appropriate statistical considerations are integrated into study designs and protocols.
• Provide statistical expertise and support for data monitoring committees (DMCs) and other study-related committees.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in statistical methodology and regulatory requirements for data analysis.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a closely related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Biostatistician, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software such as SAS , R, or similar.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial design and statistical principles applied in drug development.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex statistical information clearly.
