About the Role
Our client is seeking an analytical and insightful Blockchain Data Scientist to join their pioneering team in Cambridge . In this role, you will leverage advanced data science techniques to analyze blockchain data, uncover trends, and provide actionable insights that inform business strategy and product development within the cryptocurrency space. You will work with large, complex datasets derived from various blockchain networks, contributing to a deeper understanding of market dynamics, user behavior, and network performance. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and process large datasets from various blockchain sources (e.g., on-chain data, transaction logs).
- Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze blockchain data.
- Identify key metrics and insights related to market trends, user behavior, and network activity.
- Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate data insights into product strategy and development.
- Conduct research on emerging trends in blockchain analytics and data science.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong focus on analyzing large and complex datasets.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and relevant data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
- Experience with SQL and database management systems.
- Understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies , and distributed ledger principles.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and techniques.
- Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics.
