Blockchain Engineer - DeFi Focus

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Blockchain Engineer with a focus on DeFi to join their team in Liverpool . This role is critical for the development and enhancement of our decentralized finance products and services. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and deploying robust smart contracts and blockchain infrastructure that powers innovative financial solutions. Working within a collaborative environment, you will contribute to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the rapidly evolving DeFi space, ensuring security, efficiency, and user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts for DeFi applications.
• Implement and optimize core DeFi protocols, including lending, borrowing, and decentralized exchanges.
• Collaborate with product managers and other engineers to define and deliver new DeFi features.
• Conduct thorough testing and auditing of smart contracts to ensure security and prevent vulnerabilities.
• Monitor and maintain blockchain networks and deployed applications, ensuring high availability.
• Stay current with the latest trends, innovations, and security challenges in the DeFi ecosystem.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Blockchain Engineer with a specific focus on Decentralized Finance (DeFi).
• Strong proficiency in Solidity and experience developing smart contracts for protocols like Ethereum.
• Deep understanding of DeFi concepts, tokenomics, and common DeFi product architectures.
• Experience with blockchain development tools and frameworks (e.g., Hardhat, Truffle, Web3.js).
• Knowledge of security best practices and common vulnerabilities in DeFi protocols.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
