Blockchain Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Blockchain Engineer to contribute to their growing team in Nottingham . This role focuses on the design, development, and implementation of robust blockchain solutions and decentralized applications (dApps). You will work closely with product managers and fellow engineers to build and scale innovative projects within the dynamic crypto and blockchain sector. This position offers a hybrid working model , allowing for collaboration within the office and the flexibility of remote work, ensuring a balanced approach to development and team interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts using languages like Solidity.
• Contribute to the architecture and development of decentralized applications (dApps).
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Integrate blockchain solutions with existing systems and external APIs.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the blockchain infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Blockchain Engineer or in a similar development role.
• Proficiency in Solidity and experience with blockchain development frameworks (e.g., Truffle, Hardhat).
• Understanding of blockchain principles, cryptography , and consensus mechanisms.
• Familiarity with popular blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
