Blockchain Network Administrator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Blockchain Network Administrator to join their technical operations team in Portsmouth . In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the infrastructure of various blockchain networks. You will ensure the stability, security, and performance of nodes, validate transactions, and contribute to the overall health of the distributed ledger ecosystem. This position requires a strong understanding of network protocols, system administration, and the unique demands of blockchain infrastructure, offering a chance to work at the forefront of the Crypto & Blockchain industry in a flexible work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain blockchain nodes and associated infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance, security, and uptime, responding to alerts and incidents.
• Perform regular system updates, patching, and backups for blockchain nodes.
• Troubleshoot network issues and resolve technical problems affecting node operations.
• Ensure the security of the network infrastructure through robust access controls and monitoring.
• Collaborate with development teams to support new network upgrades and feature rollouts.

Requirements

• Proven experience in network administration, system administration, or DevOps roles.
• Familiarity with blockchain technology and distributed ledger concepts.
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and server management.
• Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls).
• Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid setting.
