Blockchain Network Administrator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent Blockchain Network Administrator to manage and maintain their blockchain infrastructure in Plymouth . This role is crucial for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our client's blockchain nodes and networks. You will be responsible for deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting network operations, as well as implementing upgrades and patches. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical aptitude for distributed systems and a commitment to maintaining high availability for critical blockchain services within a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain blockchain nodes and associated infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance, uptime, and resource utilization, implementing optimizations as needed.
• Respond to and resolve network incidents and problems in a timely manner.
• Implement and manage security protocols to protect the blockchain network from threats.
• Perform regular backups and recovery operations for network data and configurations.
• Collaborate with development teams to support network upgrades and new feature rollouts.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Network Administrator, Systems Administrator, or similar role, with experience in blockchain technology.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, server administration (Linux/Unix), and virtualization.
• Familiarity with setting up and managing nodes for various blockchain networks (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum).
• Experience with monitoring tools and cryptocurrency wallet management.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work effectively in a hybrid team setting.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA) are a plus.
