Blockchain Platform Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Blockchain Platform Engineer to join their team in Liverpool . In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling the underlying infrastructure that supports our blockchain applications. You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our blockchain network. Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage blockchain network infrastructure, including nodes and related services.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for scalability and reliability.
• Develop and maintain automation tools for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
• Implement and manage security measures to protect the blockchain network and its data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, ensuring high availability of the platform.
• Collaborate with software developers to integrate new features and applications onto the blockchain platform.

Requirements

• Proven experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or systems administration, with a focus on blockchain technologies.
• Strong understanding of blockchain network architecture, consensus mechanisms, and node operations.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
• Knowledge of networking protocols and security best practices.
• Familiarity with smart contract development is a plus.
