About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and analytical Blockchain Security Analyst to join their growing security team in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK . This role is essential for safeguarding the company's blockchain infrastructure and digital assets against evolving threats. You will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents, as well as proactively identifying and mitigating risks within the Crypto & Blockchain landscape. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and a passion for blockchain technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor blockchain networks and systems for security breaches and suspicious activities.
• Investigate security incidents, analyze their root causes, and implement effective countermeasures.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices for blockchain operations.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on blockchain applications and infrastructure.
• Stay informed about the latest security threats and trends in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to enhance the security posture of blockchain deployments.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Security Analyst or in a similar cybersecurity role, with a focus on blockchain or distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of blockchain technologies, cryptography, and common security vulnerabilities.
• Experience with security monitoring tools, SIEM systems, and incident response procedures.
• Familiarity with smart contract security best practices and auditing techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
