About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant Blockchain Security Analyst to join their dedicated security team in Belfast . You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks within our blockchain infrastructure and applications. This role is vital for ensuring the integrity and safety of our cryptocurrency operations and protecting against potential threats. You will work collaboratively with development and operations teams, contributing to a robust security posture in a fast-paced and evolving industry, operating in a hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments and penetration testing of blockchain platforms and smart contracts .
• Monitor blockchain networks for suspicious activities and potential security breaches.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures for blockchain environments.
• Investigate security incidents and provide timely remediation strategies.
• Stay current with emerging threats and vulnerabilities in the blockchain and cybersecurity landscape.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the SDLC.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Security Analyst with a focus on blockchain technology.
• Strong understanding of blockchain security principles, vulnerabilities, and countermeasures.
• Knowledge of cryptography and its application in securing distributed systems.
• Experience with security tools and techniques for network and application security.
• Familiarity with smart contract auditing and analysis.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or blockchain-specific security credentials are a plus.
