Blockchain Security Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Blockchain Security Analyst to join their dedicated security team, operating remotely with a base in Leeds . In this critical role, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating security risks across our client's blockchain infrastructure and applications. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our digital assets and platforms. You will play a key part in protecting our users and our company from evolving threats within the dynamic Crypto & Blockchain landscape, working with a fully remote setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security audits and penetration testing of blockchain networks, smart contracts, and decentralized applications.
• Identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Monitor blockchain transactions and network activity for suspicious patterns and potential security incidents.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices for blockchain environments.
• Respond to security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and provide post-incident reports.
• Stay updated on the latest security threats, attack vectors, and defensive measures in the Crypto & Blockchain space.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a specialization in blockchain security .
• Strong understanding of blockchain technologies, cryptography, and consensus mechanisms.
• Experience with security auditing tools and techniques for smart contracts and blockchain protocols.
• Knowledge of common attack vectors targeting blockchain systems and decentralized finance (DeFi).
• Ability to perform forensic analysis and incident response procedures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail, crucial for a remote role serving the Leeds and wider market.
