About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant Blockchain Security Analyst to join their dedicated security team in Belfast . In this critical role, you will be responsible for safeguarding our blockchain infrastructure and digital assets against threats. You will conduct thorough security assessments, monitor network activity, and respond to potential security incidents. This position demands a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of cryptocurrency security vulnerabilities, and a proactive approach to threat detection within the Crypto & Blockchain landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform security audits and code reviews for smart contracts and blockchain protocols to identify vulnerabilities.
• Monitor blockchain networks and systems for suspicious activities and potential security breaches.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing forensic analysis and recommending mitigation strategies.
• Develop and implement security best practices and procedures for blockchain development and operations.
• Stay updated on the latest threats and attack vectors targeting blockchain ecosystems.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure security is integrated into the design and implementation phases of new products.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Security Analyst, with a specific focus on blockchain and cryptocurrency security.
• Strong understanding of smart contract languages (e.g., Solidity) and common vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of various blockchain architectures, consensus mechanisms, and cryptographic techniques.
• Experience with security tools and methodologies for network monitoring and penetration testing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Blockchain Security Professional (CBSP) are a plus.
