Blockchain Security Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and analytical Blockchain Security Analyst to join their dedicated security team in Sunderland . In this crucial role, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks associated with blockchain technologies, smart contracts, and decentralized applications. Your expertise will be vital in safeguarding our client's assets and ensuring the integrity of their blockchain-based operations within the dynamic Crypto & Blockchain landscape. You will work proactively to protect against threats, conduct security audits, and contribute to the development of robust security protocols, ensuring the highest level of trust and security for users and stakeholders in Tyne and Wear.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth security assessments and audits of blockchain protocols , smart contracts, and dApps.
• Identify vulnerabilities, potential exploits, and security weaknesses in decentralized systems.
• Develop and implement security best practices and guidelines for blockchain development and operations.
• Monitor blockchain networks for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents.
• Perform penetration testing and security code reviews to ensure the robustness of blockchain solutions.
• Stay current with the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends in the Crypto & Blockchain space.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a security analyst, with a strong focus on blockchain security .
• Deep understanding of smart contract vulnerabilities and common attack vectors.
• Familiarity with various blockchain platforms and their security models.
• Experience with security testing tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of cryptographic techniques and their application in security.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
