About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Blockchain Security Specialist to join their fully remote team, contributing to the security and integrity of their operations within the Crypto & Blockchain sector. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks across their blockchain infrastructure, smart contracts, and decentralized applications. This role requires a proactive approach to threat detection and a deep understanding of the unique security challenges presented by distributed ledger technology. You will play a critical part in protecting assets and ensuring trust in a rapidly evolving digital landscape, working from anywhere as part of a globally distributed team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments and penetration testing of blockchain networks and applications.
• Analyze smart contract code for vulnerabilities and recommend security enhancements.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices for blockchain operations.
• Monitor for security threats and incidents, responding effectively to mitigate damage.
• Stay current with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and defensive techniques in the crypto space.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security measures throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proven experience in cybersecurity, with a specialization in blockchain security.
• Strong understanding of cryptographic principles, consensus mechanisms, and smart contract security.
• Experience with security auditing tools and techniques relevant to blockchain technology.
• Knowledge of common vulnerabilities in smart contracts and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with the Crypto & Blockchain ecosystem and regulatory landscape.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and incident response skills.
