We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Vehicle Bodyshop Prepper to join our client's well-established team in Arundel, West Sussex. Duties of a Commercial Vehicle Bodyshop Prepper:
- Prepare commercial vehicles including buses, coaches, trucks, and vans, prior to painting or further bodywork
- Mask, fill, sand, and carry out fiberglass repairs on various vehicles and chassis
- Handle restoration and accident repair projects with attention to detail
- Perform basic welding tasks as required following safety and quality standards
- Ensure all vehicles are road-ready and meet the shop's quality requirements
- Work efficiently within a team to uphold high standards of workmanship
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety protocols
- Adapt to the fast-paced nature of the workshop with patience and precision
Requirements of a Commercial Vehicle Bodyshop Prepper:
- Proven experience working in a vehicle bodyshop, with a focus on commercial vehicles
- Competence in vehicle preparation tasks including masking, filling, and sanding
- Knowledge of fiberglass repairs; basic welding skills are advantageous but not essential
- Strong team player with a positive attitude and good sense of humour
- Patient, detail-oriented, and capable of working on complex or vintage vehicles, such as buses and classic trucks
- Previous experience with restoration or accident repair is desirable
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and progress within a busy commercial vehicle bodyshop environment
